In 2009 the UniCredit Territorial Committee for Sicily, headed by José Rallo, co-owner of Donnafugata, created two important projects designed to promote territorial development. The “A Way to Sicily” project is intended to develop the process of internationalizing Sicilian companies and in its first edition is addressed to the agricultural and food, grape and wine, and fruit and vegetable sectors.

With the 2009 grape harvest over, at Donnafugata it’s time to draw conclusions. Normal weather trends and scrupulous vineyard tending created the premises for an excellent harvest allowing us to bring healthy and perfectly ripe grapes to the cellar.

Selected as sole representative of Italian sweet wines, Donnafugata’s Ben Ryé went for the “Grands Vins Liquoreux du Monde” tasting organized by DUAD (Diplome Universitaire d’Aptitude à la Degustation) of Bordeaux (France).
