Vigna di Gabri, the character of a territorial white wine
Vigna di Gabri is a territorial wine that envelopes with its
gentle Mediterranean traits and surprises for its great longevity. Low grape yield per vine (about 2 1/2 lbs) and careful weather-watching make it possible to "guide"
production towards perfectly ripe grapes with the right acidity.
Thanks to big
differences in temperature between day and night (a difference of even 75°F), its
scents are
complex and elegant: fruity notes follow those of acacia blossom, segueing into the salty and mineral.
Its taste is structured and enveloping, pleasantly fresh and surprising for
length and depth.
In recent years
Vigna di Gabri has been enriched with the organoleptic nuances of Chardonnay (25%), a grape by now considered indigenous because it has been grown in Sicily since 1700.
