Donnafugata will present the golf players its own wines for the tasting in this prestigious step of the tour.

From June 6th to June 21st 2008 will take place the 5th edition of Vinoforum in Rome, which provides the presence of more than 200 national and international wine producers. The event will be divided in two parts: from 6th to 13th June will be presented the producers from Northern Italy and from 14th to 21st June the ones from Central and Southern Italy. During the event it is possible to attend the presentations of the wineries as well as the tasting courses that will be organized in collaboration with several important sommeliers and personalities of the wine business in the world. We are now in the fourth edition of Vitigno Italia, the show dedicated to wines made from native grape varieties. Donnafugata will present the best of its production from native Sicilian varieties. Info: www.vitignoitalia.it

This is the 15th edition of Cantine Aperte at Donnafugata. This year, the estate will receive visitors in its historic cellars in Marsala. The program includes a guided tour of the winery and in particular the splendid new underground barrel cellar. Visitors can taste all the estate's wines and some of the vintages that are now relatively rare. Special games and activities will be offered again this year for children, who are between 4 and 12 years. Reservations are necessary and can be arranged by calling the green number 800 252321 or sending an e-mail message to info@donnafugata.it. The tasting will cost 5 euros to be paid at the entrance and a further 5 euros as a deposit to assure the safe return of the goblets used in the tasting. Wines will also be available for purchase at the event.

Wine Week, organized by the Termeno Wine Route is proposing this year tastings of outstanding Sicilian wines as well as products of the Trentino. Antonio Rallo of Donnafugata will present two vintages of the Passito Ben Ryé at a seminar open only to professionals. The Sicilian house will also offer a selection of its wines for tasting and open to the general public.

MediTERRAnea is a food/wine program conceived by editors of the Website www.acquabuona.it and dedicated to the great wines of the south and the islands. Terrains already known, others emerging, all highly interesting and wines that, while belonging to a common matrix, offer the greatest range of styles and types. Donnafugata will be present with its own tasting table.

Osteria Giordano Bruno of Viareggio is organizing the 2008 edition of the wine/culinary review Vino in Piazza. Donnafugata will participate with a selection of its own wines.

Punctually, as every year, the most important tradefair for Italian wines is preparing to open in Verona. Donnafugata will be present in grand style with its own stand in the space reserved to Sicilian wines (Pavilion 2, Stand No. 181H-170G)

 the Salon of Taste and Ideas organized by "Pitti Immagine" is an original journey dedicated to the discovery of the cultural and biological diversity of Italian food&wine.

Spawned by an idea of Davide Paolini, Taste is, at the same time, a vast department store linked to food and wine, to a procession of tastes.  It is a place for cultural and culinary debate. The editorial staff of the Italian magazine Cucina&Vini is organizing the official presentation of the guidebook Passiti d'Italia 2008 and the honoring of the best wines to which will be assigned the insignia of five spheres. Among them is Donnafugata's Ben Ryé 2006. The award presentation will be followed by a tasting of the wines honored.
