During the Giornate FAI di Primavera (FAI Spring Open Days) you can visit the "Giardino Pantesco Donnafugata" amidst the Khamma vineyards, birthplace of the premium Passito di Pantelleria Ben Ryé. The circular layout and size of the garden, built in lava-stone drywalls, guarantee the ideal microclimate for protecting from wind and drought a century-old orange tree, a precious "vitamin factory".

 the Salon of Taste and Ideas organized by "Pitti Immagine" is an original journey dedicated to the discovery of the cultural and biological diversity of Italian food&wine.
Spawned by an idea of Davide Paolini, Taste is, at the same time, a vast department store linked to food and wine, to a procession of tastes.  It is a place for cultural and culinary debate.
Donnafugata is present with its own tasting table.

 AIS of Rome dedicates the whole afternoon to a tasting of Donnafugata's wines. (from 16:30 to 21, free entrance) and proposes an extraordinary vertical tasting (from 17:30 to 19:30 free entrance with reservation only for members of AIS and Club Bibenda) of Chiarandà Contessa Entellina Doc Antonio Rallo, from the Donnafugata's family and Stefano Valla (enologist), together with the speakers from A.I.S., presents to sommeliers, wine-lovers e journalists, seven vintages of Chiarandà, starting from the 1999 to 2007 en primeur. Tasting event of the best Sicilian wines. Donnafugata will be presented with its own tasting stand.

For the first time the award cermony of the 5 grappoli AIS (5 grapes) will take place at the Hotel Rome Cavalieri The Waldorf in Rome. Donnafugata will be awarded for the Ben Ryé 2007. Press conference and award ceremony will be held at 3 pm. Wine tasting will start at 5 pm and end at 9.30 pm. Entrance fee: euro 70,00. Info: www.bibenda.it
