In the wake of this success, international as well—the group played in New York at the Blue Note, in Moscow and in Shanghai—they decided to cut a new live CD and the two Palermo dates will be the ideal occasion and
José Rallo, vocal soloist, and her husband,
Vincenzo Favara (expert percussionist in his leisure time) waited a long time to create this second collection of pieces. They were right to wait.
On stage with them, in addition to the other stable components of the band,
Diego Spitaleri, Giueppe Milici and Vincenzo Palermo, will be two great names in American jazz, drummer
Eliot Zigmund and double-bass player
Bill Moring. And, just for this first leg of the 2007 tour, there will be a performance by
The Brass Group Orchestra, with
Vito Giordano on trumpet,
Orazio Maugeri on sax and
Salvatore Pizzurro on trombone.
