Donnafugata @ Iceland Wine Dinners

On 21 and 23 September, Gabriella Favara, the sixth generation of Donnafugata, will participate in several events in Iceland.

During the three days, a first tasting will take place, and then two special wine dinners where consumers will be able to taste Donnafugata wines with excellent gastronomic pairings.

 

Program during the three days

 

The first tasting will be held on 21 September at Port 9, a wine bar in Reykjavík with a special selection of wines.

When: On September 21th, 5:00 PM

Where: Port 9, Veghúsarstígur 9, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland

 

The first wine dinner will be held on 22 September at La Primavera Restaurant , a very modern restaurant with a beautiful location overlooking the sea.

 

Menu:

Welcome aperitif

Entrèe  paired with  Donnafugata Brut 2018, Donnafugata Brut Rosé 2018, Isolano 2020, Sul Vulcano 2021, Sedara 2021

 

Main courses

Black Malfaldini with octopus  paired with  Sul Vulcano Etna 2021

 

Second courses

Veal scallopini with marsala sauce paired with Mille e una Notte Sicilia 2019

Dessert

Cannoli paired with Ben Rye 2021

 

When: On September 22th, From 6:00 PM

Where: La Primavera, Grandagarður 20, 101 Reykjavík, Islanda

 

 

The second wine dinner will take place on 23 September at Brùt Restaurant in the centre of Reykjavik.

Menu:

Welcome aperitif

Fresh Oysters with Bromelain and Spiced vinegrette paired with Donnafugata Brut 2018 

First course

Icelandic crab with hazelnuts, grilled citrus and seed crackers paired with Anthilia 2022 

Second course

Beef tartare and Groundnut purée paired with Rosa Dolce & Gabbana e Donnafugata 2022

Third course

Monkfish, mushroom purée, pickled enoki mushrooms og scallion glaze paired with Sul Vulcano Etna 2020

Dessert

Strawberry and vanilla cake with pistache paired with Donnafugata Brut Rosé 2017
