An original blend of two native grape varieties
Rosa is an elegant rosé wine, whose name was chosen precisely to emphasize the distinctive color that makes it unique. It was born from an original blend of two indigenous grape varieties, among the most important of the island's tradition. Nerello Mascalese comes from the slopes of Etna, where the volcanic nature of the land and the microclimate give life to notes of particular minerality and floral delicacy. The captivating fruity component comes instead from the Nocera grapes, produced in the Contessa Entellina estate where, after years of experimentation, has proven its excellent potential.

Dolce&Gabbana, fascinated by this unmistakable colour, strongly desired the production of a rosé, and the name Rosa was chosen to emphasize its unique personality. And just as Donnafugata has created a new blend of two Sicilian grape varieties, so Dolce&Gabbana’s creativity has taken up the challenge of telling the story of this prestigious wine, overseeing its coordinated image: the immediately recognizable graphics of the materials draw inspiration from the iconic Sicilian cart, which represents the island’s craftsmanship, culture and tradition the world over.
