Introducing the vintages of Donnafugata’s icon wines: from the 2018 vintage of Mille e una Notte to the Etna crûs Fragore and Contrada Marchesa to vintage 2019 of the passito Ben Ryé, the result of the heroic viticulture of Pantelleria.
The new vintages of Mille e una Notte, Ben Ryé and Contrada Marchesa are accompanied by the latest animated labels: small masterpieces that celebrate the dialogue between Art and Wine.
Mille e una Notte 2018 – Sicilia Doc: with an intense ruby red color Mille e una Notte presents a complex bouquet characterized by notes of red (cherry) and black (blackberry) fruits, fresh balsamic (eucalyptus) and spicy hints (black pepper) augmented by delicate nuances of vanilla. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with great structure and tannins are mature and refined. It ends with a notable persistence.
Contrada Marchesa 2018 – Etna Rosso Doc: light ruby red in color, Etna Rosso Doc Contrada Marchesa presents a fragrant bouquet with fruity, floral and aromatic herbs scents. In the mouth it stands out for its great balance and fine tannic texture that make it an icon of volcanic elegance.

Fragore 2018 -Etna Rosso Doc Contrada Montelaguardia: ruby red colored, Fragore offers an ample and deep bouquet with notes of wild blackberry and forest floor that blend with balsamic, mineral (flint) and tobacco nuances. Due to its complexity and structure with important tannins, together with its remarkable persistence, this cru from Contrada Montelaguardia is an authentic expression of volcanic energy.

Ben Ryè 2019 Passito di Pantelleria Doc: has a golden color with bright amber hues. The very intense bouquet ranges from fruity notes of apricot and candied orange peel, to hints of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate the fruity hints of aromatic herbs are combined with sweet nuances of honey. Intense and persistent, with an extraordinary balance between freshness and sweetness, Ben Ryè is a captivating Passito di Pantelleria, among most popular desserts wines in the world.
