The selection of Donnafugata Oils enriches with a special news: the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tonda Iblea, a small prestigious production from the Vittoria estate obtained from the homonimous native variety typical of this territory.
Donnafugata introduces also the vintage 2021 of the Oils of the other estates: Milleanni, a blend of four autochthonous cultivar from Contessa Entellina, the delicate monocultivar of Pantelleria Biancolilla and Nocellara Etnea, an elegant monocultivar from Etna.
Tonda Iblea 2021 with a bright green-gold color, the bouquet is distinguished by its intense fruitiness with distinct hints of green tomato followed by delicate notes of fresh aromatic herbs, artichoke and freshly cut grass. On the palate the Extra Virgin Olive oil Tonda Iblea reveals itself with an excellent balance between bitter and spicy; it is full-bodied, enveloping and perfectly harmonious.
Milleanni 2021 offers an intriguing bouquet, with fruity sensations of medium intensity characterized by herbaceous hints that intertwine with typical scents of artichoke and green tomato on the palate it is soft and persistent with bitter and spicy chasing each other elegantly; notes of dry fruit enhance the balance.
Biancolilla 2021 has a light structure, it is delicate and of extraordinary elegance; the bouquet is characterized by a light fruitiness with scents of ribbed tomato, aromatic herbs, rosemary, and thyme.
Nocellara Etnea 2021 is characterized by a medium fruitiness with scents of cut grass and artichoke. The harmonious balance between bitter and spicy makes this oil particularly pleasant on the palate, enhancing the notes of walnut and chestnut.
