Pantelleria, island of sun and wind
A territory where nature is extreme
On the volcanic island of Pantelleria, we carry out a project of sustainability and heroic viticulture. Our vineyards are located in various districts that differ in soil (sandy and of volcanic origin), altitude (from 20 m to 400 m a.s.l.), exposure, microclimate and age of the plants, including some examples of hundred-year-old vines.

A project full of passion and commitment
On Pantelleria, viticulture requires dedication and care: the sloping lands, cultivated on terraces bordered by drystone walls made of lavic stone and the vines cultivated on Pantelleria alberellos, keep us busy every day. A context that requires a very high amount of manpower, about three times the average requirement of a quality-oriented vineyard, without counting the maintenance of about 40 km of drystone walls.
Pantelleria alberello
Symbol of creative and sustainable agriculture
On Pantelleria we cultivate Zibibbo, a prince among the aromatic varieties, on the Pantelleria alberello, the only agricultural practice which, due to its creative and sustainable nature, has Unesco Cultural Heritage Status. The vine grows inside hollows, with a pruning system that allows the plant to take a horizontal course, almost creeping along the ground, which makes it possible for the plants to resist the wind.
